DNS record lookup online

Look up A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME, SOA, CAA, SRV, or PTR records of any public hostname through the Cloudflare and Google public resolvers; each call costs 1 credit after your 20 free runs a day and completes within 12 seconds.

input

Public hostname, e.g. example.com (internationalised names are converted to punycode). For type PTR: an IPv4/IPv6 address or a complete in-addr.arpa / ip6.arpa name.

Press Run. The result lands here, made by the real tool.

1 credit · ≤12 s · no login · 20 free/day

How it works

  1. Type a public hostname and choose a record type, or enable the all-records option to query the common set at once.
  2. Press Run.
  3. Read the returned name, status, record values, TTLs, resolver, and elapsed time in the JSON output.

Limits

Each call completes in at most 12 seconds and accepts input up to 4 096 bytes. You get 20 free calls per day per visitor with no login required. After those, each call costs 1 credit drawn from prepaid credits attached to an API key.

Privacy

Your input is processed for the request and discarded afterwards; it is not kept or used for anything else. Usage records retain only time, tool, status, duration, credits, and a salted hash of the IP address.

Call it from code

curl
curl -sS -X POST 'https://data.voiddo.com/v1/dns_lookup' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"name":"example.com","type":"A"}'

20 calls a day need no key. Beyond that: one-time credit packs, $5 for 500 credits, $9 for 1,000 credits, $29 for 4,000 credits. Get credits · llms.txt · OpenAPI.

Questions

Which record types can I look up?

You can query A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME, SOA, CAA, SRV, or PTR. Selecting the all-records option runs A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, SOA, and CAA in a single call.

How do I look up a reverse PTR record?

Set the type to PTR and enter either an IPv4 or IPv6 address, or a complete in-addr.arpa or ip6.arpa name, in the hostname field.

How do I call this from code?

Send a POST request to https://data.voiddo.com/v1/dns_lookup with your inputs as JSON; a curl example is shown on this page.

What happens after the 20 free runs?

Each additional call costs 1 credit from prepaid credits attached to your API key.

Are my queries stored?

No. The hostname you enter is used only to perform the lookup and is discarded immediately after; no query history is retained.
