A Self Publishing Titans alternative for puzzle books
Self Publishing Titans is a large suite for many kinds of book: over a hundred puzzle and activity generators, a cover designer, research tools, by subscription or as lifetime bundles. vøiddo does one thing: it makes the finished files of a KDP puzzle book, interior and full wrap cover, and checks both against KDP’s paperback specs. You pay per book, from $3.30, and nothing renews.
| vøiddo | Self Publishing Titans | |
|---|---|---|
| How you pay | One-time book credits: $15 for 3 books, $39 for 10, $99 for 30. Credits never expire. | The puzzle maker comes with the Author plan and up: $25 a month billed yearly ($300 a year), or $35 month to month. Or lifetime puzzle bundles, paid once: $149 each, or all four for $357 (“Normally $596”). |
| Two books this month | $15 pack, one book left over for later | A month of Author at $35, or one $149 lifetime bundle |
| What you get | The finished book: interior PDF with every solution, full wrap cover with the spine sized to your page count, a signed check of both files, listing text with seven keyword ideas, six preview images. Ready in under a minute. | “A print-ready PDF sized for Amazon KDP” from each generator. Covers come from their separate cover design tool and cover template generator. |
| Puzzle types | 10: sudoku, killer sudoku, calcudoku, word search, mazes, cryptograms, word scrambles, number search, kakuro and fill in, alone or 2 to 10 kinds in one variety book. | Many more: “111 puzzle and activity generators covering Sudoku, word games, mazes, math, and visual puzzles”, crosswords and nonograms among them, kids’ activity pages too. |
| Each puzzle checked | By a second, independent program before it is printed: exactly one solution per sudoku, killer sudoku, calcudoku, kakuro and fill in, each word or number exactly once, one route per maze, every code decoded back to its quote. | “Solution pages are generated automatically for supported puzzle types.” Their puzzle page does not describe a separate check. |
| KDP file check | Every book: page size, page count, embedded fonts, margins and gutter for the page count, line weight, cover size and spine, in a signed report anyone can verify. If KDP rejects the files within 30 days, the credits come back. | A “KDP Guidelines Checker (beta)” in the Publisher and Empire plans |
| Large print | An option on every book: 16 pt and larger, grids in Atkinson Hyperlegible | “Large‑print and travel books” listed for their Evergreen bundle |
| Selling the books | Yes, under your own name or imprint | “You can use everything you create with our tools in your own books and products for sale”, per their pricing FAQ |
| Money back | Unused credits within 14 days of purchase; a book’s credits if KDP rejects its files within 30 days | A 7-day money-back guarantee |
| Trying it | Sample pages and a 10-page sample PDF on the puzzle book page, no account. The spine calculator and the file check are free tools. | A free account (“Start Free”); the cheapest plan, Hobbyist, does not include the puzzle maker |

Which one fits
- vøiddo fits when you publish puzzle books a few at a time and want finished, checked files, cover included, without laying out pages: a series of large print sudoku or word search books, a test of a new niche, a book a month.
- Self Publishing Titans fits when you want puzzle types we do not make (crosswords, nonograms, kids’ activity pages), use its other tools, or will make well over a hundred puzzle books: $357 once buys about 108 books from us at $3.30, so past that their lifetime suite costs less per book, with each cover made in a separate step.
- The two work together: their generators for the kinds we do not make, our files for the sudoku, killer sudoku, calcudoku, kakuro and word search books.
Questions
Is this cheaper than Self Publishing Titans?
For a few books, yes: 2 books cost $15 from a pack against $35 for a month of their Author plan, and our credits do not expire if you pause. Their lifetime suite at $357 costs less per book once you make more than about 108 puzzle books, if its generators make the books you need.
Will KDP accept the files?
Each book passes our check against KDP’s published paperback specs before you can download it. If KDP still rejects the files within 30 days, the book’s credits go back to your key.
Do I need to design the cover?
No. The program builds the full wrap cover with the spine sized to the page count, typeset from the book’s own puzzles. Your title, subtitle and name go on the front, the spine and the title page.
Can I cancel?
There is nothing to cancel: credits are bought once. Unused credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase.
Is vøiddo connected to Self Publishing Titans?
No. Self Publishing Titans is a trademark of its owner; this page compares public prices and features as they were on the date above.
