Convert JSON to YAML and back online

Paste JSON or YAML text up to 2 MB, choose indent, key-sorting, and minify options, and receive the converted file in under 30 seconds; each run after the 20 free daily runs costs 1 credit.

input

The JSON or YAML text to convert (up to 2 MB).

Target format. Default: yaml for JSON input, json for YAML input.

More options (4)

Source format; auto tries JSON first, then YAML.

Spaces per level. JSON: 0 puts items on their own lines without indentation. YAML: values below 2 are treated as 2.

Sort object keys alphabetically (default: keep input order).

JSON: single line without spaces. YAML: single-line flow style. Overrides indent.

How it works

  1. Paste your JSON or YAML text into the input field and set the format options you need.
  2. Press Run; the tool parses, validates, and converts your text with line-accurate error messages if anything is malformed.
  3. Download the converted file — converted.json or converted.yaml — or copy the output directly from the page.

Limits

Input text may be up to 2 MB and structures up to one million nodes; output may reach 8 MB. Each visitor gets 20 free runs per day without logging in. Runs beyond that draw 1 credit per call from prepaid credits tied to an API key.

Privacy

Your input is processed for the request and discarded afterwards; it is not kept or used for any other purpose. Usage records store only the time, tool name, status, duration, credits used, and a salted hash of the IP address.

Call it from code

curl
curl -sS -X POST 'https://data.voiddo.com/v1/json_yaml_convert?download=1' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"input":"name: mint\nversion: 1.2\nitems:\n - alpha\n - beta\nenabled: true\n","to":"json"}' \

20 calls a day need no key. Beyond that: one-time credit packs, $5 for 500 credits, $9 for 1,000 credits, $29 for 4,000 credits. Get credits · llms.txt · OpenAPI.
